Postdoctoral position (10 months) at Umeå Plant Science Centre

The research project, at the department of plant physiology, is named ”LHC-REL” and involves the functional studies in Arabidopsis of a group of proteins with homology to the light harvesting chlorophyll a/b-binding proteins.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry or plant physiology, preferably not more than 3 years old. In particular, experience in reverse genetics in Arabidopsis and proven advanced skills in characterization of Arabidopsis mutants/transgenics deficient in photosynthetic proteins using biochemical, spectroscopic and physiological techniques is required. The candidate should also have good knowledge of the relevant literature, be able to work independently in the project and take the lead in publication of the research results.
