A Post-doctoral position
at Department of Medical Biosciences, Pathology
A full-time position is available for two (2) years in a research group working with prostate cancer with the long-term goals to improve prognostication and therapy of advanced disease. The research focus of this position is identification of protein biomarkers for metastatic prostate cancer in tumor tissue and plasma samples. Primary cultures of prostate tumor cells will be established and specific studies of tumor cell exosomes will be performed.
The candidate must have (main qualifications):
A PhD degree, not more than three (3) years old
Documented experience of in vitro cell culturing and protein analysis
Furthermore, the successful candidate should have the capacity to work independently in the laboratory as well as the ability to collaborate with others. Experience of primary cell culture establishments, qualitative and quantitative protein analysis, immunoflow techniques, and in vivo experiments in rodents is desirable. The successful candidate should also be proficient in written and spoken English and have good organizational skills.
